According to a research conducted by a survey firm, it has been found that mobile-internet services have taken an upward swing in the past few years and it attracts a number of users in age group of 18-24.

The mobile phone business has witnessed a massive boom in India in the past few years and with an array of mobile phones, loaded with super-rich technology to choose from, most of the people have started banking on cell phone for their multipurpose needs. 

The report - ‘Mobile Internet Consumer – India 2013’ has found that 51 percent mobile internet users, in the sample of 2,000 users surveyed by the researches are aged between 18 to 24 years, 30 percent are between 25-33 years of age and 9 percent are below 18 and around 10 percent are above 35.

The research came up with some interesting revelations as well and it has been found that most of the mobile internet users are male with 91 percent and only 9 percent female access internet from their cell phones. The researchers say, “The findings and insights are drawn from a primary survey conducted across India.”

In another report, related to mobile advertising marketing, the analysts have expressed confidence that the sector is expected to grow by more than 43 percent in the next 12 months and it has posted more than 60 percent growth in recent times.

"Marketers today are beginning to invest more and more in the medium, to see how mobile, when placed at the center of a well integrated campaign, acts as the binding tissue, bringing all aspects of a campaign together," said Rohit Dadwal, managing director, Asia Pacific, MMA.
