Jhargram (West Bengal): The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Tuesday launched ten-day cricket training camp here to popularise the game in Junglemahal area of the state.

Former Indian cricketer Sandeep Patil inaugurated the camp and encouraged the morale of budding cricketers.

Former coach of Sri Lankan team, Dav Whatmore was also present at the inauguration ceremony.

“The players will be coached by eight renowned coaches from National Cricket Academy,” CAB Joint Secretary Biswarup De said.
Earlier, the training was scheduled for seven days, but after seeing the response of cricket lovers CAB decided to extend it to ten days.

A team of best players will be formed after the camp which will get opportunities to play with the state and national level teams.
