Jaipur: The simmering tension between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Central Road Transport Minister CP Joshi over the removal of Ramlal Jat from the ministerial position is now obvious.

Addressing a farmers’ gathering at Bhilwara, Joshi categorically condemned the move and said the matter would be raised with the party high command.

The ousting of Jat from the Cabinet is not a wise step, he said. Many Congress leaders have joined the Joshi bandwagon regarding the lambasting Gehlot’s step.

State Congress vice president and close aide of Joshi, Uday Lal Anjana, raised questions on the Jat’s exclusion from the Cabinet.

On the other hand, taking a defensive stand for the CM, state Congress President Dr Chandrabhan said, “Reshuffling of the Cabinet comes under the privilege of the Chief Minister. However, in the Congress ruled states, any change in the Cabinet portfolio takes place only after the permission of  party high command.”
