Jammu: Warning state government for its shoddiness in enforcement of the 73rd constitutional amendment of the constitution to empower the Panchayats in J&K, Panthers Party chief Prof Bhim Singh has said that his party won’t allow the election of the chairperson of Block Development Council.

While talking to media on Thursday, Panthers Party Chief said that his party has always supported the move to provide reservation to SCs and STs as well as to the women in the state.

Singh slammed the decision of Omar Abdullah government to cancel the BDC polls terming the decision as unconstitutional.

Calling it a poll gimmick of the Abdullah government, Prof Singh said that state government might have done so by making changes in BDC poll laws much earlier.
Prof Singh further appealed to the governor of the state to dismiss the state government and allow the people of the state to elect a new government in the state.
