Jammu: As many as four policemen and dozens of candidates were injured after a clash broke out between them during police recruitment drive at Badgam district of Kashmir.

On Monday, large number of candidates appeared for the police recruitment drive. It led to ruckus when the candidates started to protest against the recruitment process.

The situation became tensed when the police aspirants started raising slogans alleging favourtism. Clashes erupted when candidates pelted stones on the Police.

To tackle the situation, policemen had to fire tear gas shells.

The recruitment drive continued even after the clash and the eligible candidates were selected.
