Ghaziabad: Senior Bhartiya Janata Party leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti on Thursday said that the candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections will be selected on the basis of their work, reputation and recognition among the party workers.

Uma Bharti was interacting with mediapersons at the residence of Ghaziabad Mayor Damyanti Goyal.

Other party leaders including General Secretary Rakesh Jain, Chandra Mohan Sharma, Prithvi Singh, Rajendra Kumar and other party members were also present.

While talking about social activist Anna Hazare, she said that his protest is not only against corruption but also for the demand of better administration.

Acknowledging BJP as the best suited party for giving good governance, she said that the party workers have geared themselves to uproot corruption from Uttar Pradesh.
