Fatehgarh Sahib: Terming the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) as not a true panth of Sikh, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee vice president Lal Singh said Captain Amrinder Singh is only panth in the state.

Lal Singh said, “300 years ago, Guru Govind Singh had given 22 arms including a sword which is now preserved at the Gurudwara in Captain’s palace.

“Even Hukamnama's of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a Sikh ideology, is in the possession of Captain. The Holy Scripture reads: “Your house is my abode.”  No certificate can be bigger than this,” added the Congress leader.

The four gates of Fatehgarh Sahib were built in the memory of martyrs during the Captain’s regime. Four-time Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal did not bother even to talk about martyrs and panth.

Several Congress leader including Ghanour MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur, Shutrana MLA Nirmal Singh, Sadhu Singh, Tej Parkash Singh, former MLA Brij Lal Goyal were present in the meeting.

Commenting on the absence of Captain from the venue, the Congress leader said, “The former CM is busy with ticket distribution for Assembly polls.”
