New Delhi: ‘Casanova’ Gopal Goyal Kanda will get Rs 6000 for entire month’s expenditure in jail. As per the new “mulakati” policy of jail, close family members can meet the inmate twice a week. Mulakati can give only Rs 750 to the inmate during meeting.

Main accused in Geetika Sharma suicide case and former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda’s condition remains serious with his blood pressure readings reaching dangerously high levels. After complaining this, the Sirsa MLA has been transferred from Rohini Jail (high-risk ward) to the hospital.

Kanda has not been provided with VIP treatment in the jail. Sources said that Kanda can be shifted to jail no-1 or 4 of Tihar as he is an MLA.

Jail sources said that Kanda’s blood pressure has touched to 170/120 on Wednesday afternoon. He was rushed to hospital. However, his health is normal. Kanda’s meal comprises roti and dal. No other inmates are permitted to visit him. Security has been tightened.

Kanda's employee, Aruna Chaddha, a senior functionary with now defunct MDLR airlines, arrested on August 8, is also in judicial custody in connection with the suicide of 23-year-old air hostess Geetika Sharma.
