New Delhi: Reflecting solidarity with the two former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentarians arrested in the cash-for-vote scam, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday met them in the Tihar Jail.

Swaraj visited Tihar to meet former party parliamentarians Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagore who were arrested on Tuesday in the cash-for-vote scam. Swaraj was accompanied by Deputy Leader of BJP in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde and party general secretary Ananth Kumar.

Terming the police action undemocratic, Swaraj said it is extremely unfortunate both the bribe payers as well as the whistleblowers have been booked under the same charge.

Taking the issue, the senior party leader LK Advani had issued the notice to adjourn the question hour. However the bomb explosion at Delhi High Court changed the scenario of the proceeding of the House.
