New Delhi: Even after the tragic incident of gang rape of a 23-year-old paramedical student has shaken Delhi, the heinous crime is increasing unabatedly.

In a shameful incident, a 35-year-old CBI officer was arrested on Thursday for allegedly eve-teasing a Delhi university student in South Delhi’s Defence Colony area.

The accused, who is posted as a Sub-Inspector in Defence colony police station, allegedly made abusive comments on the girl while she was on her way to a nearby restaurant.

The student behaved bravely and called up the PCR vans, who further arrested the accused and handed him to the Defence colony police station. Later on he was released on bail.

In yet another tragic incident, a man inserted an iron rod into a girl’s mouth after she resisted his attempt to rape her. She has undergone two surgeries in her throat and is not able to speak, police said.
