New Delhi: In order to ascertain the truth behind the relationship that BJP Rajya Sabha Member Tarun Vijay shared with RTI activist Shehla Masood, who was mysteriously murdered outside her Bhopal house, the CBI on Friday questioned Vijay’s wife.

The sensational murder took place on August 16 in front of Masood’s house while she was leaving for an anti-corruption rally which was organized as part of Anna Hazare's India Against Corruption movement.

A case was registered in the murder case and the CBI took over the probe on September 3.

Masood’s mobile phone records show she was in regular touch with BJP leader and the former editor of RSS mouthpiece Panchjanya. She spoke to Vijay over phone just before her murder.

Calling Masood a good friend, Vijay said, “Masood had wanted to know about the arrest of Anna Hazare in Delhi before her killing. I had spoken to her in this regard.”

Given the sensitivity of the case, the CBI denied to share the details of the questioning.
