Allahabad: A CBI team has conducted a raid in Allahabad at the venue of an examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission and rounded up a number of candidates for alleged use of unfair means, official sources said in Allahabad on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the CBI team arrived in the city on Sunday and raided an inter college where Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier II) - 2012 were underway and arrested four persons who were allegedly cheating with the help of mobile phones, the sources said.

They said that one of the arrested persons was said to be an impostor solving the question paper on behalf of another candidate, who was caught from outside the premises.

The arrested persons are believed to have been taken to Ghaziabad where they will be tried before a Special CBI court, the sources added.
