Pune: The CBI searched two bank lockers of former Commonwealth Organising Committee Chief Suresh Kalmadi in Pune in connection with irregularities of the CWG games last year.

Kalmadi’s lockers in ICICI bank and Saraswat bank, sealed by the agency in December, were searched on Tuesday, sources said.

The CBI searches were made in connection with the award of video installation work for the Queen's Baton Relay to a London-based private firm at inflated rates.

Kalmadi's top aides including former Secretary General Lalit Bhanot and Director General in the Organising Committee V K Verma have been arrested for alleged financial irregularities in various cases pertaining to the sporting event. Bhanot and Verma were arrested on allegations of irregularities in awarding the contract to a Swiss company.

CBI also searched the premises of his personal secretary Manoj Bhure. Apart of this, Kalmadi's farm house at Khadakwasla and "Sai Service" petrol station owned by him was also searched in December 2010.
