Lucknow: Following the orders from Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is preparing a list of around 100 tainted advocates who have either been charged with criminal offence or have been involved in crime but have not yet been named as accused in the case.

The High Court, on October 28, 2010, had assigned CBI 11 cases in which 21 lawyers have been named as accused. The lawsuits filed against these lawyers include charges of murder, robbery, obstructions of official business, assault and unlawful confinement.

Apart from them, around 80 lawyers are alleged to be having been involved in criminal offence.
Two of the 21 layers facing criminal charges, Parshuram Mishra and Taarif Beg, were arrested on Wednesday which led to boycott of court proceedings by other members of the bar. A special task force of CBI that sent from Delhi has taken these two lawyers on remand till Friday evening.

According to sources, the CBI has completed investigations in most of the cases and most of the lawyers have been found guilty. CBI's Special Task Force headed by SP Javed Seraj is camping in Lucknow to take the investigations to its logical end.
