"He has been not cooperating in the probe and it appears that he was part of larger conspiracy. We will seek extension of Peter's custody", said a CBI official on condition of anonymity.

Peter, whose police custody will end on November 26, was brought to Delhi yesterday and is being questioned by the agency on financial deals that are viewed to be a possible motive behind the murder.

The agency has been scrutinising bank accounts held jointly by Peter and his wife Indrani Mukherjea, arrested for killing her own daughter Sheena.

Interestingly, in one account, Indrani reportedly had made a fixed deposit of Rs.80 lakh and she opened it after the murder of Sheena.

The agency has earlier revealed that the motive behind the murder was monetary gains.Peter's son Rahul is also in the national capital and has been called twice to join the investigation.
