The Central Board of Secondary Education (, :CBSE 12th Results 2014 are expected to be declared on May 26. Every year lakhs of students appear for these exams conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. A total of 10,29,874 candidates registered for the exams this year, out of which 6,03,064 were boys and 4,26,810 were girls. A lot of speculations about the date of result declaration have been made ever since the examinations got over. They are likely on Monday, that is April 26, the students will be able to view the results. CBSE 12th Results 2014 will most likely be declared on May 26. Roughly two months after the exams concluded, more than 10 lakh candidates are now keen on knowing their results. Although the dates are not confirmed by the official sources, but there is a buzz that the results for all streams will be made available by the above mentioned date.The candidates who are unable to clear the exams will get compartment and will be provided three chances to qualify. However, the candidates who had appeared for the examination in the year 2012 or before and are placed in the 'Compartment' category shall be provided five chances.This year, the board has also introduced facilities to schools to generate online Roll Number wise List of Candidates appearing in Class X and XII examination 2014.

Some teachers also informed that the in 2014 class 12th question papers were tough compared to the previous years although record breaking scores are expected from the students this year too.

Keeping the CBSE 12th results in mind, Anna University has extended the dates for the issue and submission of the application forms for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2014 to May 27th). The students can dial a toll free number 1800 11 8004 from any part of the country and get in touch with operator for general queries related to result or with counselors for one to one telephonic counseling from 8 am up to 10 pm till June 10.

Highlights of CBSE Class XII Result 2013,

  • 9, 42, 035 candidates had registered for Class XII examination in 2013
  • Chennai once again put up the best performance with a pass percentage of 91.83
  • Over 82 percent students cleared the 2013 Class XII CBSE examinations
  • Girls had outshone boys with pass percentage of 87.98 as compared to 77.78 percent of boys

Before the declaration of the results, CBSE has started with its counseling service for the 17th consecutive year to help students and parents to overcome common psychological problems and general queries after the declaration of results. During this second phase of counselling 54 experts including Principals, trained counsellors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools and few psychologists will be available for Tele- Counselling.

Earlier , CBSE Class 10th results are already out. The results were declared on May 20. The National Capital lagged behind other regions in CBSE Class X results declared on last Tuesday 20 May , 2014, posting a pass percentage of 98.31 percent as against Thiruvanthapuram region which topped the country with a pass percentage of 99.96 percent.As far as the performance of school goes, Kendriya Vidyalayas' fared better than schools in

other categories, registering a pass percentage of 99.58 percent , followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas' where the pass percentage stood at 99.27 percent.

CBSE 12 Exams this year were much in spotlight over the alleged paper leak of Physics paper. Some teachers also informed that the class 12th question papers were tough compared to the previous year's although record breaking scores are expected from the students this year too. The results can also be accessed through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). The charge for IVRS per roll no. will be Rs. 0.30 per minute. Results can also be accessed through SMS service.
