There was huge speculation that the results would be declared on Monday but sources from the board denied such reports suggesting that the results would be out soon.

The result of class 12th for all regions was declared on May 27 last year. Hence, the students are expecting CBSE to declare the result on the same day.

The CBSE had earlier on May 20 declared the results for class 10th examinations 2014.

The students can check their results on the official website of the board. Besides, the results can also be availed directly by logging on the website of Jagran Josh.

The schools can also get the entire results by entering their respective school codes and registering their email-ids on the official website of the board.

The results can also be accessed through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). The charge for IVRS per roll number will be Rs 0.30 per minute. The results can also be accessed through SMS service. The SMS charge for each roll number will be Rs one.

1,02,9874 students have registered this year for the Senior Secondary School Examination (Class XII), a significant rise of 9.32 percent over 2013. The board conducted the examinations all over the country between March 1 and April 17 this year.

HIGHLIGHTS OF CLASS XII RESULTS 2013:

The CBSE’s marking scheme has witnessed a change in the last five years. It has introduced grading system instead of the traditional marking system in order to check suicidal deaths and depression among students. Under the new Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system, students will be assigned grades instead of marks. The board claims that the CCE helps in reducing stress of students by identifying the learning progress of students at regular time intervals on small portions of content.

The board has carried several initiatives to counsel the students. It is running several stress buster programmes on its website too. For those who have failed to secure passing marks or want to improve their grades need not worry. The can reappear for compartment or improvement examination.

From this year, the number of attempts for Improvement of Performance for Class X is one. The number of chances for compartment for Class XII is three. According to CBSE, ‘the candidates can appear for the Improvement of Performance attempt in July as per the option exercised for the main examination held in March the same year’.

However, for candidates who have appeared for the 2012 examination or before and placed in the category COMPARTMENT/ELIGIBLE FOR IMPROVEMENT OF PERFORMANCE shall get upto five chances.

This year, the board has also introduced facilities to schools to generate online roll number wise list of candidates appearing in Class X and XII examination 2014.
