Ranchi: The Coordination of Democratic Rights Organisation (CDRO) has decided to gherao Parliament on September 7 in support of its charter of demands that include halt of alleged police atrocities against tribals across the country and acquisition of land.

 “Human rights activists like Goutam Noulekha, C Bhaskar Rao, Prof Seshaih, B Krishna, Vinayak Sen, Phulindro Konjam are among several others who will gather at Jantar Mantar to gherao Parliament on September 7,” CDRO’s Jharkhand Chapter Incharge Shashi Bhusan Pathak said here.

“Demand to stop atrocities against tribals and acquisition of their land are among several other demands on the list,” he said, adding about 50 from Jharkhand would join the gherao.
