Notwithstanding the recent "dressing down" by Information and Broadcasting (I&B) minister Arun Jaitley for the controversial list of 28 cuss words, the Censor Board has snipped five "mildly abusive" words from upcoming film, 'Badmashiyaan'.

A source close to VRG Motion Pictures, which is producing the film, says, "The five words which were chopped out are kuttey, kaminey, har**kh**, a**, pichh**** and maa ki ***kh. The producers of the film have accepted the cuts with a U/A certificate as their film releases this week."

Baahul Chaudhari, the film's co-producer Baahul Chaudhari, confirms that the cuts have been effected as directed by the Censor Board. The film has Karan Mehra and Sharib Hashmi in the lead along with some newcomers.

It is learnt that in Yash Raj's recently-released film, 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', a few slangs were axed too. A source close to the production house says, "Ghanta was replaced by thenga, har**ipana by chhichoripana, har** ke pille became galli ke pille and har**khor was changed to kathor. Besides, the word lesbian was muted."
