Srinagar: In order to review formalities of recalling the AFSPA and Disturbed Areas Act (DAA) and to tack stock of the security situation in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, a Central government delegation comprising top officials will arrive here on Sunday.

The Union government delegation will comprise Cabinet Secretary Ajit Kumar Seth, Home Secretary RK Singh and Defence Secretary Sashi Kant Sharma.

The delegates will be meeting the heads of the Army and security agencies and discuss areas lined up for the removal of AFSPA along with other issues.

However, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal, has informed that the Cabinet Secretary is coming to inspect ongoing development projects in the state.

It may be noted that Secretaries of a dozen ministries and 40 national bureaucrats were to visit the state on October 9 for a two-day tour under the leadership of Cabinet Secretary Ajit Kumar Seth but it was cancelled. Therefore, other Central officials met Chief Secretary to discuss developmental projects and returned back to Delhi.
