Ghaziabad: Good news for students belonging to OBC category. The Central government’s plan to set up a separate college in every district for the higher education of OBC students has received momentum with the inauguration of a degree college in Barabanki.

The National Coordinator, National Commission for Scheduled Tribe (NCST), Dr Tajuddin Ansari, speaking to media persons in Rajendra Nagar said, “The Indian Constitution has made a provision of right to education for everyone, and the community which fails to get sufficient education will lag behind.”

Highlighting the plight of backward communities, Ansari said, “In Sachar Committee it has been stated that there are at least 72 castes in OBC which are still deprived of the Right to Education. Therefore, we should attempt to educate them and help in the development of the nation.”
