On the freight side, the division received Rs 1,643.28 crores during April-December as compared to Rs 1,422.21 crores in the same period the previous year, a rise of 15.5 percent.

Besides, the earnings from passengers showed an increase of 17.5 percent as the division earned Rs 337.10 crores in the same period as against Rs 286.81 crores during the corresponding period in the previous year, a release from Nagpur division of Central Railway said.

Railway budget will be presented on February 26 in the Parliament. Budget Session will commence on February 23.
