The team, which reached here this morning, got divided into two groups which visited Koraput and Gajapati districts. The objective of the visit was to access the damage caused by the cyclone Hudhud.
The first team, led by Gopal Krishna Dwidevi, Joint Jecretary, Home ministry, along with three other members  Virendra Singh, Director, Agriculture Ministry, A S Parmar, Additional Director, Finance Ministry and Ansul Rehman of Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation arrived at Pottangi block of Koraput district by road and visited Sairai, Indira Colony and Veterinary Hospital.
Later, it had a discussion with the district collector and other officials. The team is scheduled to visit Malkangiri district on Wednesday.
The second team led by R K Verma, Chief Engineer, Energy Ministry,  R P Panda of Road Transport Ministry, Unman Sarangi, Additional Director, Rural Development Ministry and Atul Kumar Nayak, Superintending Engineer, Central Water Commission left for Gajapati district.
The team visited Mangarajpur panchayat of R Udayagiri block and Raibaguda and Jalang villages of Dangar gram panchayat of Raigarh block and took stock of the damaged caused to houses, crops and roads in these areas.
It also had a meeting with the district administration of Gajapati. The team will visit Rayagada district on Wednesday.
"We will submit our survey report to the Centre after a meeting with the state government," Dwivedi said at Koraput.
