"But, the package is for people of Bihar and not for any government," senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said in a statement here.
Sushil Modi along with Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Prem Kumar and state party chief Mangal Pandey had met nearly half-a-dozen Union ministers and discussed the special package with them.
The statement said Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu informed the team that the Digha-Sonepur bridge on river Ganga in Patna and mega Railway bridge at Munger were almost ready and a few small works would be completed by end of February.
The Digha-Sonepur bridge was built at an estimated cost of Rs 3,210 crore, while the one at Munger was estimated to cost Rs 2,774 crore.
Prabhu told them that work on the diesel locomotive factory at Marauhra and electric locomotive factory at Madhepura was satisfactory, the statement said.
Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said detailed project report (DPR) was ready for construction of a bridge parallel to the Mahatama Gandhi bridge on Ganga at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore and a consultant was being appointed.  Besides, approval has been acquired from NITI Ayog for repair of the existing bridge at a cost of Rs 1,797 crore, Sushil Modi said.
