Itanagar, Jan 17 (Agencies): Congress- led UPA government at the Centre was criticized by the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday, for raising petrol prices. The party demands its immediate rollback.

"When the world is witnessing a stable price regime and food prices are actually going down in major parts of the world, India is experiencing a turbulent price regime because of lack of any cohesive policy on the part of the UPA government," BJP spokesman Tai Tagak said in a statement here.

“When people were reeling under a rise of 10 per cent in wholesale price index and 18 per cent on food prices, the government should have offered relief, instead of imposed a burden of Rs 5.50 a litre in a month,” he added.
