She said that a meeting of education ministers will soon be convened to chalk out the modalities for amending the SABLA scheme, according to an official release.
The aim is to educate the girls on matters of health and hygiene, for one to two hours after their school timings, Gandhi said.
To improve the nutritional and health status of girls in the age group of 11 to 18 years and providing them education in life-skills, health and nutrition, the UPA government had introduced the Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls - SABLA in November, 2010.
