Ahmedabad: Encompassed in 2G Spectrum scam, CWG controversy and Adarsh Society scandal, in Union Government has now decided to take help of advertisements to target Narendra Modi led BJP government in Gujarat.

An advertisement issued by Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry is being termed as an important step in this regard. In this advertisement, the ministry has claimed that when compared to other states Centre is releasing more funds for development of Gujarat.

It is worth mentioning that for a long time Modi and other ministers of Gujarat has repeatedly raised the issue of step brotherly treatment by Centre towards the state. The ministers of Gujarat have frequently accused the Union Government of allotting insufficient funds to the state for development. For a long time now, the Centre and Gujarat government have been at loggerheads over the issue of releasing funds.

The differences between the state and the Centre intensify in the election season. Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry has published an advertisement in a local newspaper in which it has provided the details of the distribution of petroleum, gas and kerosene.

In advertisement, Ministry appealed to the people of Gujarat that the Centre was not making any discrimination towards the state in the context to distribution of petroleum, gas and kerosene. In the advertisement, it is said that the national distribution average of LPG, PNG is 53 percent, whereas 61 percent funds have been released for Gujarat.

Similarly, a person is given 9.5 litre kerosene in the country, whereas the quota for each person in Gujarat is 12 litre.
