New Delhi: Stepping up its effort to raise the pace of development in states affected with the Left-wing extremists, the Union Minister of Urban Rural Development Jairam Ramesh has resolved to create employment opportunities and give training to more than three lakh youths in the Naxal/Maoists infested regions.

Addressing press conference before his visit to Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, Ramesh said, “Under the livelihood mission for Naxal affected areas, the Ministry has decided to create jobs for youths in these regions. To make it a successful, participation of private sector has also been taken into consideration.”

Taking serious note of the rising Naxal menace, Ramesh will visit the Maoists infested Jangalmahal next week and inspect Saranda in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. “Condition in Saranda is a challenge, which if dealt properly will become a fine example for other Naxal affected states,” said Ramesh.
