New Delhi: Taking a serious note of rising infiltration of terrorist groups in Jammu & Kashmir, a high-powered team will go to the Valley on Sunday to review security scenario  in the state.

The team led by Cabinet Secretary Ajit Kumar Seth will also review the development plans in the state. The delegation will include Union Home Secretary RK Singh and Defence Secretary Shashi Kant Sharma and top bureaucrats from a dozen of key ministries and departments.

To take stock of the Jammu and Kashmir security situation and the preparedness to deal with terrorism, the Cabinet Secretary will hold a meeting with all the senior officials of security agencies. The Army, Central paramilitary forces and senior officials of intelligence agencies of the state will also attend the meeting.

The meeting will focus on the situation along Line of Control and the recent attempts by Pakistan-based terror groups and approach during the forthcoming winter months when the  militants may try to make further infiltration bid and sneak into cities from higher reaches, sources said.
