Chandigarh: Terming Chandigarh as an inherent part of Haryana, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the people of the state regard the union territory as the their capital. The senior Congress leaders fought a long battle for Chandigarh, said the CM.

Addressing the reporters at Rohtak, Hooda said, “Haryana is on the path of agriculture and industrial development. Our government is striving hard to boost the industrial policies.”

Haryana is the sought after for domestic and international investors to pump their money in the state. Top industrial firms including Suzuki, Asian Paints, Maruti, Hero Honda, footwear design and development institute, high-tech plast, Saberkantha dairy have taken interest in setting up their units in the state.

Hooda opined that the land acquisition policy in the state has become the role model for the entire country and the government provides yearly royalty along with compensation to the land owners.

The land acquisition drive has proved to be beneficial for the people in rural areas in the state informed Hooda.
