As many as 1,76,823 students appeared for the high school examination conducted last year. The total number of qualifying students in the exam was 1,26,319. The total pass percentage in 2013 was 71.43 percent.
Commencing on March 24, the Uttarakhand Board exam for class 10 ended on April 12 this year. Lakhs of students appeared in the exam this year.  
Last year girls outshines boys by achieving total 76.66 percent while the boys scored 66.68 percent.
