Raipur: In-order to groom the children to become prospective leaders, Bal-Panchayats involving school going children would be constituted in the state who would contest elections on different party symbols and later on would be appointed as panchayat officials.

Apart this, Bal Panchayats would also ensure that every child of the state gets admission in schools of the state. However, all this would be done through Bal Mitra Gram Yojna initiated by the state government.

Remarkably, this initiative is going to be launched from Bajrangpur village falling under Abhanpur assembly constituency. According to the sources, it would be implemented in the entire state if it yields good results.

The state government would also prepare a list of those children who have been forced to leave their studies midway and compelled to be engaged in petty jobs in fields along with their parents. As part of the initiative, the government would also take care of their needs like living, meal as well as their extra –curricular activities. Apart from this, parents would also be convinced to send their girl children to schools.

As part of the initiative Bal Panchayat Committees would collect children from and after preparing a list they would also try to find out reasons which compelled them to leave their studies midway. These committees would again seek admissions of such children in schools after removing them from petty jobs.

Moreover, committees would also seek their progress reports from schools apart from ensuring employment of an adult member of these families of such children.
