Allahabad: In a bare-knuckles attack on Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentarian and Chairman of Parliamentary Accounts Committee Murli Manohar Joshi asserted that the Congress leader did not deserve to be inducted in the Union Cabinet.

Raising fingers at the performance of Chidambaram, Joshi said, “In each major scam, the role of Home Minister is under suspicion, therefore he should be sacked from the Cabinet and a CBI probe should be ordered against him.”

The BJP leader alleged Chidambaram of placing the country in an embarrassing situation by providing a goofed up list of the most wanted fugitives to Pakistan. “Be it 2G scam or the recently unearthed oil scam in Krishna Godavari basin, the role of Chidambaram is under the scanner,” he added.

Talking to reporters in Allahabad on Friday, Joshi said Chidambaram also messed up the Telangana issue.

On being asked about the Lokayukta report on the involvement of Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa in an illegal mining racket, Joshi said an action will be taken after getting the investigation report.
