New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Friday met Samajwadi Paty Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and briefed him on the government's stand and strategy on the Chinese incursion in Ladakh.

The SP has been attacking government for not taking action against China. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Yadav said, "Now government is showing some seriousness. But the need is to drive the Chinese out of our is a very serious matter". He, however, did not disclose details of the discussions.

Earlier, Yadav had described China as the "biggest enemy" of India. He had said that the Indian Army is ready to remove all intruders but there is no action from the government’s side. "This government is acting cowardly, it is incompetent and good for nothing," he had said in the Parliament, while objecting to the scheduled visit of External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid to China on May 9.

"When the Army Chief himself says that the troops are ready to respond, why is the government not issuing instructions to it? They (China) insulted us in 1962. They are insulting us now in the world fora," Yadav had said.
