Purnia: The recent arrest of alleged Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative from Purnia distirct of Bihar in the 2010 Chinnaswamy Stadium blast case has revealed that the blast plot was hatched in Nepal.

During the interrogation, the alleged IM operative Aftab and his three accomplices admitted their role and revealed that the blast plot was planned in a madarasa situated in Janakpuri in the neighbouring country, sources said.

Sources from the intelligences said that the probing agencies have got strong leads that Aftab is assisting IM operatives in India and youths of Seemanchal were frequently being brain washed and sent to Pakistan via Nepal for training.

The accused also mentioned that they were getting financial assistance from Pakistan through hawala transactions.

Acting on the tip off, the Delhi police special team has swung into actions and started investigating the several bank accounts of Aftab and his relatives.

According to Intelligence agencies, Aftab communicated with the terror outfit through internet. He had used a fake passport where his name appeared as Roshan for visiting Pakistan.

The Delhi Police team probing the 2010 Chinnaswamy Stadium blast case on Thursday claimed to have strong links in the plot following the arrest of alleged Pakistani operative of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) from Purnia distirct of Bihar on December 6.
