New Delhi: Trouble seems to be mounting for Trinamool Congress (TMC) over chit fund scam with an FIR lodged against party MP Kunal Ghosh, who is also the CEO of Saradha’s media unit.

The case was filled by employees of a Saradha group TV channel, who alleged that the company didn’t pay their salaries for long nor did it deposit the provident fund.

The employees of Channel 10, run by Saradha group alleged that they have not got their salaries from three to eight months.

Ghosh, a Rajya Sabha member of the Trinamool Congress, however, maintained that he was just a ‘salaried employee’ and has nothing to do with the company’s chit fund scam.

It’s worth mentioning that Saradha media group owned about 10 publications and TV channels and Gosh drew salary of Rs 16 lakh per month as group CEO.

Earlier, Sudipta Sen, the main accused in the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam, and his two other accomplices were on Thursday remanded in 14-day police custody by a court, even as police claimed that the played a key role in decision-making.

Sen, the group's chairman, along with company's director Debjani Mukherjee and Arvind Singh Chouhan, who looked after the company's interests in Jharkhand, have been charged under IPC sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
