He said some parts of state felt the earthquake on Saturday. "From my office I sought information about quakes' fallout in MP. The tremors haven't caused any damage either to humans or property in the state," the Chief Minister said.

The CM said he himself felt the tremors while chairing a review meeting in the secretariat."I was chairing a review meeting at the secretariat when I suddenly felt as if my head was spinning around 11.45 am. Then I saw the display screen at the meeting room shaking and realised they were tremors," Chouhan told reporters here.

"I came down from fifth floor using stairs to an open space," he added. He said when he was coming down he asked the Mantralaya staffers to quit their office and sirens were sounded.

"I waited for 20 minutes in an open space in the premises of the secretariat before coming to office at my official residence," he said.

"Madhya Pradesh stands with the people of the affected areas and we are ready to help them," the Chief Minister added.
