Kolkata: Shayandeep is barely 10-year-old but he possesses a maturity found missing in majority of the seniors.

In an act which personifies maturity to the perfect, Shayandeep donated Rs 1,11,111 to the West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund. Each single penny of the amount is a part of the pocket money saved by the minor for past many years.

The minor did not celebrate any of his birthdays and saved the entire pocket money given to him by his parents. Shayandeep saved the amount to help children from the downtrodden section of society to purchase stationery items.

A class IV student of Ariyadah International School, Shayandeep was accompanied to the Writers’ Building by his uncle on Thursday.
Shayandeep who belongs to a financially sound background said, “There are several students in the state who cannot even purchase stationery items, therefore I would like to use my entire pocket money and savings to help such children.”

In a word of advice to seniors, he said people should refrain from unwarranted expenditure and use the amount for constructive work.
