Lucknow:  After sacking state Family Welfare Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha, one of the close aides of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Maywati, the party is all set to expel the Chairman of UP Co-operative Federation Limited (known as PCF -Pradshik Co-operative Federation) Ramchandra Singh Pradhan.

Pradhan who is considered as close associate of Kushwaha will have to bear the brunt of his relation, as BSP workers have issued no-confidence motion against him. The decision on this issue will be taken on December 20.  Besides, list of other officers considered close to Kushwaha has also been prepared.

“Many senior bureaucrats are infuriated over my actions to curb wrong doings in distribution of fertilizers and seeds. It is due to this reason notice for no-confidence motion has been served,” said Pradhan.

However, Pradhan terms the notice by BSP workers as against the rules. According to him, Chairman can only be removed if no-confidence motion is taken by board of directors. Out of the 17 board members, signatures of nine are required in the notice.

Member of the state council, Pradhan was nominated as Chairman of UP Co-operative Federation Limited by Kushwaha.
