BJP for change of guard in Gwalior?

Gwalior: The increased activities of Rajya Sabha Parliamentarian Maya Singh regarded a close associate of late Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia in Gwalior has given birth to speculations in connection with her candidature from the seat in the Parliamentary Elections.

A BJP member Singh has been spotted in several party and social programmes in Gwalior and political pundits believe that she may be the saffron party candidate from the important Parliamentary seat in 2014.

Her husband Dhyanendra Singh the brother of Vijayaraje Scindia is a former legislator. In addition, Singh herself has held keys posts in BJP on the national level.

Singh has attended the inauguration ceremonies of development projects carried out through her Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD) in the region.

Presently, BJP leader Yashodhara Raje Scindia is the sitting MP of Gwalior. Sources maintained that Yashodhara is in search for a safe seat, therefore she has shifted her attention on Shivpuri Lok Sabha constituency.
