Bhopal: Condemning the militant attack on a CRPF camp in Srinagar, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday said that it was high time for the country to initiate "firm" steps to dismantle such forces.

"This (the attack) is too much. Time has come for India to take firm steps against such forces," Chouhan told reporters when asked to reflect on the dastardly attack on the CRPF camp in the Jammu and Kashmir capital.

Criticizing the Centre for "hosting" Pakistan Prime Minister, Raja Pervez Ashraf during his recent visit to Ajmer, the Chief Minister said such gesture was unwarranted as terror activities are being choreographed from across the border.

Five troopers were martyred and two terrorists were killed in the gun battle that ensued after the CRPF camp in Srinagar was attacked on Wednesday morning.

"I stood with the kin of the martyred jawans. They are not alone as entire country is with them", he said.
