Greater Noida: With Chief Minister Mayawati’s Noida visit round the corner, the rising nervousness among the Gautam Budh Nagar officials have added a wave of vibrancy to the ongoing projects. The administrative works have been speeded up while the pending and incomplete tasks are being covered up in haste.

In order to prevent the Chief Minister’s ire, all the current projects and developmental works have been pepped up, especially the welfare policies in the rural areas.
The BSP supremo is expected to pay a visit to the district on October 14.

In her earlier visits, Mayawati had given a tough time to the officials. The Chief Minister, during her last visit, had expressed extreme disappointment on the poor law and order situation, roads and dividers in the district. She had given three months time to buck up the road infrastructure and the deteriorating law and order situation.

Meanwhile, the officials are undergoing sleepless nights as the roads damaged in the rainy season cannot be repaired within a week for the CM’s inspection.

Mayawati had instructed to plant fruit bearing saplings along the Expressway of which ample of saplings were planted in Greater Noida but sufficient work could not be carried out in Noida.

The district is also not able to boast of a well efficient law and order situation while welfare programmes for senior citizens, physically challenged and widow pension schemes, Mid-Day meal, scholarship schemes, Mukhyamantri Mahamaya Garib Arthik Madad Yojana, Indira Awas Yojana, Mahamaya Awas Yojana along with the developmental projects going on in the Ambedkar villages are not up to the mark.
