Lucknow: Making subsequent headway in the double CMO murder case in Uttar Pradesh, the Central Bureau of Investigation has raised its finger towards one of the health officers and former minister of the state.

If the sources are to be believed, sleuths are suspecting the involvement of a former minister in the murder of Chief Medical Officer, Family Welfare Vinod Arya and Doctor BP Singh. Sources say, CMO Dr Y S Sachan who has been accused of committing the heinous crime is also held responsible for the bungling in the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam.

However, the CBI probing into the case has not yet found any evidence against Sachan’s alleged role in the murder mystery. Sachan was found dead in the Lucknow jail hospital. He was arrested soon after Singh’s murder when investigating agencies detected swindling of funds to the tune of several crores of rupees in the implementation of the National Rural Health Mission in the state.

The CBI is investigating into different aspects of the murder case to crack the mystery.
