Chandigarh,Jan 27(Agencies): Punjab continued to remain under the grip of cold conditions with Amritsar reeling at 4 degrees Celsius whereas many parts of Haryana registered above normal minimum temperature for the second day on Thursday.
    
 Amritsar was the coldest place which recorded minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, the MET said here.
     
 Ludhiana also experienced a cold night at 5.4 deg C, while temperature in Patiala was pegged at 6 deg C.
     
 In Haryana, Ambala recorded a low of 7.8 deg C, while Rohtak registered a low of 7 deg C, one notch above normal.
     
 Chandigarh recorded a minimum of 7.2 deg C as the low at Gurgaon settled at 6.3 deg C. Hissar and Karnal had a cold
 night recording respective minimum temperature of 4.5 deg C and 5 deg C.

 MET has forecast further fall in night temperature at many places in the two states by Saturday.
