Ranchi: Morally elevated with the killing of Maoist leader Kishenji, the security forces in Jharkhand have increased the pace of combing operation against most wanted Naxalite Kundan Pahan.

The law enforcement agency on Sunday cordoned off Pahan along with 42 other Naxals in Haso forest in Bundu. The combing operation was led by SP Aseem Vikrant Minj. Despite incessant firing, the Naxals fled away from the site. The security forces recovered huge cache of regular rifles and other arms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, two Maoists have been arrested in Bardhaman and Veerbhomi districts near Jangalmahal. The police are also searching for top Maoist women leader Suchitra Mahanto.
