Panipat: Central Schools Organization (CSO) in Punjab has issued new guidelines which is likely to affect almost 11 lakh students of the state.

However, this order would put some financial burden on the guardians as they have been asked to send their wards only in new dresses.

Interestingly, better education is provided to the students in central schools comparatively on affordable prices. But 1076 schools have not cared to bring a change in it for the last five decades.

A new dress code for these schools has been designed by NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) New Delhi in 2012.

Separate dresses have been designed for boys and girls. Junior along with senior students will put on blue, grey, white and red coloured stripped shirts in place of white ones.  Girls will put on plain grey colored trousers whereas boys will put on dresses of the same colour.

Similarly, girl students of junior classes will have to put on tunics. In this regard, Pramod Parate, Principal of the central school located at NFL said that the school has re-opened on June 25 after Monsoon break.
