Kolkata: To win back the confidence of people, former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has asked the CPI (M) leaders and comrades to do self-churning.

“Party comrades should review themselves from scratch; as there is no alternate to win people’s heart,” Buddhadeb said, while addressing a rally in Nadia on Sunday.

“Political violence is rising in the state. Government is functioning with a motive of revenge, but all this will not prevail for long,” he added.

Former Chief Minister said, “There is no space for corruption in the Left Front and everyone in this country is well aware of the nature of Left leaders. We are working on the short-comings which led to the party’s massive debacle in the last elections. People will again support us and they will not accept anarchy in West Bengal.”

While talking about problems of Darjeeling and Maoists, Buddhadeb said the dual policy of the state government on these issues is clearly visible.
