Shimla: The Congress high command is likely to take disciplinary action against those leaders and party workers who opposed the official candidates in the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections held last year.

Newly appointed Himachal Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh has started to identify those leaders who were involved directly or indirectly in the anti-party activities during the assembly polls in the state.

State Congress chief is busy giving final touches to the list of rebel leaders. Sources said that Sukhvinder Singh raised the issue with party high command who gave their nod on it.

In the 68-member Himachal Assembly House, the Congress registered victory on 36 seats, while it lost 32 seats. Several party candidates including state Congress chief got defeated in the assembly poll.

The defeated candidates blamed the anti-party activities for losing seats in the assembly poll.
