The Congress leaders alleged that the government is planning to stop flagship schemes initiated by the erstwhile Congress regime led by Ashok Gehlot.

The ‘Chetna Rally' led by Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Sachin Pilot started from the state party headquarters and ended at Udyog Maidan at Statue Circle, where leaders addressed the rally.

In the memorandum to the Chief Secretary, the Congress demanded continuation of Gehlot government's welfare schemes, including the Jaipur Metro and oil refinery projects.

"The statements and views expressed by the BJP government putting question mark on the welfare schemes are unfortunate. They regret that they were not able to bring such projects hence raising questions on the projects initiated by the previous Congress government," Pilot told the gathering.

Congress leader Mirza Baig said that the party would not sit quiet if the welfare schemes are meddled by the government.
