The controversy over Modi's reference to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reportedly making fun of Singh as a "village woman"  found its echo on the microblogging site Twitter on a hashtag #DehatiAurat, which also had a picture of Modi clad in a woman's attire. While #ModifyDelhi had pictures of Modi's rally splashed, #FekuAlert carried pictures of Modi in 'burqa'.
Soon after Modi's speech slamming UPA was over, a well-known television panelist of Congress, Sanjay Jha, posted on #FekuAlert, "I just caught a glimpse of Narendra Modi's juvenile rhetoric in Delhi. The #BigJokeParty still lives under self-delusion."

Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit's political advisor Pawan Khera went hammer and tongs against Modi on the same hashtag to say "For a man literally begging for a US visa, Modi angst on Prime Minister's US visit is understandable. He further tweeted on #FekuAlert

"If Modi is BJP's trump card, you have to really feel sorry for them. He is a Himalayan blunder. Pass them the tissues, please."

Friends of Congress, a group of people in agreement with Congress ideology posted "what is this obsession with hiding poverty? Congress talks about 'Garibi Hataao'. Modi believes in 'Garibi Chupaao."

Not to be left behind, those from the BJP, including its Delhi state unit President Vijay Goel, tweeted at #ModifyDelhi "As Modiji said, I too assure you that BJP will never betray your trust."
